We've been doing some brainstorming as to what to get started this year after such a great fall study. We've thought about weather and travelling concerns as well as some family commitments and schedules for the next few months... Though we long to be with you in person we have decided that some connection is better than no connection and we're going to try something new until it looks like we can regroup in the flesh. So mark April 10, 2012 at 7 pm on your calendar for when we'll resume study at Michelle Morin's home, and at that time, we'll look at Beth Moore's new study on the book of James.
In the meantime... we thought that we might try to battle some of the cold weather blues with taking some time to be intentionally grateful and thankful to our Creator and challenged by the words of Ann Voskamp in her book entitled, One Thousand Gifts. It's our 'virtual' book club or bible study effort for the winter months when some of us may be in the sunny south or struggling to safely travel on snowy roads.
So read the book along with us and then log into this blog to share your reflections and insights.
Note for those new to blogs: Though commenting on a blog requires logging in with an account, a blog can be viewed by anyone who comes across this site on the web so only share comments, prayer requests, etc. that you would feel comfortable with virtually anyone knowing. Use our private email addresses to send messages of a more confidential nature.
Looking forward to connecting with you all. A great book and a great challenge. I look forward to starting my own gratitude journal!
ReplyDeleteI'm game even though I chatter better in person ;)
ReplyDeletePS. Sandy...you bought this book at Women's weekend away. I should have borrowed it before you went south.
It is with great anticipation that we wait and expect the see His glorious presence in our lives as we accept the challenge to "live fully right where we are." May you be blessed!
